This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of data visualization in GIS, and specifically how to connect data in tabular form (e.g. Excel spreadsheets) with mapped features. Through a step-by-step tutorial, participants will create maps of agricultural production by county throughout the U.S. Tips and data sources for mapping other phenomena will also be discussed.
